"Weep Hall" by Yuri Dachev is another brilliant premiere at the Little City Theatre "Off the Channel"
Maria Kavardjikova, Aneta Sotirova and Atanas Atanassov are the perfect sides in a love triangle. The actors achieve perfection in communicating on stage. The kiss of actresses Aneta Sotirova and Maria Kavardjikova in the lime-lights has the aesthetic message of a Bergman drama. The class of the actors in "Weep Hall" is way above the average in Bulgarian theatre. "Their characters don't have biographies, they have emotions instead. They raise a multitude of questions and do not provide the answers. For the first time playwright Yuri Dachev has decided to write about people his age", director Bina Haralampieva says.
The fourth member of the cast is actor Stoyo Mirkov. He is an almost speechless loner who steals flowers off the graveyard and never stops weeping. The incredible costume and set design are by Petya Stoikova. This action story takes place between three weeping booths and a podium which spurts rock-and-roll music any time someone leaps onto it."
