"BISCUITS FOR A BLACK AFTERNOON" – a criminal farce by Elizabeth Strickland. A gloomy house in the suburbs of English province! (Do you already sense a murder?) Ladies have gathered to perform a spiritual seance! (Do you have already goosebumps?) And all characters are somehow connected to the theatre. (Are you now dumb with fear?) Elizabeth Strickland says: “The perfect criminal play has for its characters people from the theatre. There everybody should be killed and everybody wants to kill everybody.” To illustrate this diagnose the author (a graduated physician) fills the scene with dead bodies. There is poison everywhere in this black comedy, even in smiles and words. Everybody is hiding behind someone. Just like in theatre. But question is who is who in this repartition. Who are the actors hiding behind names like Ilaya Dzaffer, Vivian Atson, Benny Mahao, Seila Steen, Yan P. Trushinn, Pat Keelly, Rusty Mattaff. And who are Bo Herland and Patricia Stoke who pull the wires and turn the scene into an exquisite hell? Who is Acenn Abraham who wrote the freezing music? And should they all be angry at Uriah Deech? Some of those question shall find an answer, others – not. Only thing you should do is come to LCT “Off the channel” and find out: who is the murderer and who is who. Every scary night in the hour of black mist, of bitter chocolate when the dreadful is revealed after eight. Then you could tell your relatives and save their money for the tickets. In case, of course, you leave alive…
